We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Milad Lankarany as our expert speaker for this week's KBI rounds. Please join us this Thursday, March 6th, from 8 to 9 am EST for the conclusion of our Computational and Clinical Neuroscience lecture series moderated by Dr. Mary Pat McAndrews. Dr. Lankarany will share his insights on "Linearly Decreasing Chirp Represents a Critical State in the Brain".
Dr. Milad Lankarany is a Senior Scientist at the Krembil Research Institute and an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Biomedical Engineering and Department of Physiology, University of Toronto. He is a computational neuroscientist and his research is directed toward (1) understanding the biophysical and computational mechanisms of neural information processing at the cellular and network levels, and (2) developing neurotechnology to better understand, monitor and treat diseases associated with aberrant information processing. The research led by Dr. Lankarany has the potential to accelerate developments in the treatment of common neurological conditions, such as Parkinson’s disease and epilepsy. He has produced more than 50 peer-reviewed publications and has given 20 invited presentations and research talks at scientific meetings and academic research institutions in Canada, the US, Japan, and Europe.
