"Overall, 23 projects from UHN were awarded $12.1 million in funding. Among the funded projects are those studying heart failure risk, novel targets driving blood disorders, the effectiveness of cannabis for osteoarthritis, hepatitis C disease models, acute myeloid leukemia treatments, deep brain stimulation, hospital characteristics and adverse event rates, and more. These projects span diverse research areas, showcasing the breadth of health research at UHN and our critical contributions to advancing health research in Canada."
